Evening dress and black-tie is the recommended dress code for the evening operas. There is no recommended dress code for daytime events.
Please arrive early. The doors of Wexford Opera House open one hour prior to the performance start time. The Auditorium is open 30 minutes prior to the performance start time.
In the event of lateness, admission to the auditorium is not permitted until the first interval of the evening’s performance.
Can I get a refund or exchange tickets for a different show?
Tickets can only be accepted for resale if the performance is sold out. Subject to availability, tickets may be exchanged for the same opera on an alternative date. The original ticket(s) must be with the Box Office at least 72 hours prior to the performance to qualify for an exchange. The original ticket(s) must be with the Box Office before we can begin the resale process. If your ticket(s) is resold, you will be refunded, less 15% administration fee.
Why do I have to register to purchase tickets online?
Purchasing tickets through our ticketing provider Ticketsolve requires users to register their email address in order to purchase tickets. Please keep your email address and password safe. Once you register an email address, you will not be able to register a new account with the same address. Users can request a new password if they have forgotten their registered password.
I can’t remember my password to log in to purchase tickets.
After you have selected tickets to purchase and you are presented with a register or login screen, simply click the ‘Forgot you password?’ link and enter your email address in the field provided. You will then be sent an email inviting you to reset your Ticketsolve password.
Why is there a fee for using a credit or debit card?
A fee of 1.65% of total transaction value will be added to all Credit/Debit Card transactions. This charge relates to the transactional costs imposed by your credit or debit card company on Wexford Opera House for the use of your credit or debit card in making this payment. The fee is 1.65% of total transaction value with an upper charge limit of €10 per transaction.
Please note that, for security reasons, we do not store your credit card details in our system.
Does the Box Office provide cash back?
We regret that our Box Office does not provide cash back services.
Why are my contact details asked when purchasing a ticket and what do you do with that information?
When you book a ticket at Wexford Opera House, your personal information will be held in our database for the purposes of contacting you regarding an event should we need to. Your information will not be disclosed to any third parties.
You will be asked if you want to be included on our mailing list. If you agree, we will send you the Wexford Festival Opera season brochure each year for free – to the address that you have given us.
On occasion, we may send you information on special offers or competitions. If you do not wish to receive information from us, please tell us at the time of booking.
How will I know when my booking has gone through?
Once you are satisfied with your seat allocation, and you have entered your credit card details on the final booking page, select the ‘Buy Tickets’ button on the bottom right-hand corner of your screen. You will then receive an e-mail confirming your booking.
Can I bring food or drink into the theatre?
No, food and drink are not permitted into the auditorium.
There is a cloakroom located in the Jerome Hynes Theatre Foyer of Wexford Opera House. No charge is incurred for the use of this facility.
Smoking is not permitted anywhere in Wexford Opera House.
Cameras, video cameras and recording equipment of any kind are not permitted in the auditorium.
Please ensure all mobiles phones and pagers are switched off before entering the auditorium.
